Nine progressive and potentially world changing innovations will be presented during the Award finale, yet only three can win the prestigious Award. Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award
The Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award is the annual award for the most innovative research-based idea with a social and/ or commercial application. During the festive finale, finalists will pitch their innovations on stage. They will compete for the three Innovation Awards in the categories Alpha/ Gamma, Beta and Life Sciences.
This year, Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA) will also honor researchers who created a significant impact to society with their impressive innovations and research projects.

Met de zogeheten ikHerstel-app herstellen patiënten aanzienlijk van grote buikoperaties dan patiënten die de app niet gebruiken. Het herstel duurt nog maar 7 in plaats van 9 weken. Met de app ervaren patiënten meer eigen regie door zelf actief aan hun herstel te werken. Daardoor wordt ook het zorgpersoneel ontlast.
